You ask us

Where can Myco material be used?

The material is similar in appearance and properties to polystyrene and is therefore suitable for use as a packaging material.

What is the composition of Myco material?

It is purely organic waste and mycelium.

What are the dimensions and sizes of the products?

The maximum size of the products is 30 x 30 cm, where the height varies depending on the design and complexity of the product.

What is the bulk density of Myco material?

The volume weight is 220 Kg/m3, which can be corrected by changing the composition of the input raw materials.

How can Myco material be used in construction?

Currently, our material is not used in the construction industry, but development for its use is underway. Its use is encouraged because of its good sound and thermal insulation properties.

How can Myco material be used in the furniture industry?

We are currently working on developing a replacement for OSB without the use of synthetic adhesives.

Can a customized product be made from Myco material?

For specific applications, we offer a complete customized product manufacturing process. From the design of such a product, through prototyping to the introduction into series production.

Is Myco material resistant to water and mould?

Myco material is water-repellent on the surface, but can absorb water if exposed to moisture for a prolonged period of time. If conditions change, it may dry out again. In the case of prolonged exposure to water, a spontaneous process of biodegradation by fungi and other living organisms will begin.

Can Myco material be composted, recycled, incinerated?

Our products are made from 100% natural materials - where their purpose ends, so does their journey. No further recycling is necessary. If the material ends up in a compost heap or somewhere in nature, it will spontaneously decompose. Alternatively, it can be burned in a fireplace, where it can glow and warm up one last time without creating dangerous fumes.

How much carbon emissions are associated with the production of Myco material products?

Material made of wood is usually considered one of the most environmentally friendly materials, because wood contains CO2 absorbed from the air. Moreover, we do not use primary raw materials, but waste that has no further use except for pelletization and incineration. We also take great care to ensure that the raw materials are local and that the supply chains are as short as possible. Cradle to gate is 0.2 kg CO2 per 1 kg of material.
